Que cansado querer ser Perfecto, que cansado que dejes que los demás te etiqueten de niña o Niño bueno, con la condición que nunca te puedes equivocar, le quita toda la diversión al arte de vivir

This is about a little girl who has never made a mistake but ends up almost making one。 I wouldn't show this to my students because I want them to know that making mistakes is ok。 This book is culturally responsive to a certain extent。 The main family is white but her friends are people of color。 This is about a little girl who has never made a mistake but ends up almost making one。 I wouldn't show this to my students because I want them to know that making mistakes is ok。 This book is culturally responsive to a certain extent。 The main family is white but her friends are people of color。 。。。more

This was such a cute book 😭(Yes I’m adding it to the list of books I’ve read don’t judge me)

In every classroom, there is going to be at least one perfectionist child, who wants to do everything right and perfectly。 and while we as teachers may love this child for how easy they make being their teacher, dealing with perfectionism can be a huge pressure, this book shows that you indeed do not have to be perfect, you can make mistakes, and that you should be known for who you are, not the work you do。

This was my first audiobook! It really just popped up on my YouTube and I thought why not, and even though it’s a children’s book, as a perfectionist, this reminded my inner child that it’s okay to make mistakes and that I shouldn’t strive for perfection all the time every day。It was nice to read something so light but yet so thoughtful。 It felt like a hug from little me。 👧🏼

Beatrice has never made a mistake。 She is notorious in her town for that fact。 She wakes up to people outside of her house waiting to see the girl who's never made a mistake。 All of her friends and family are well aware that she never makes mistakes。 Until she does at the talent show! She learns that it's okay to make mistakes and that she's just normal like everyone else。 This is good to teach children that there is nothing wrong with making mistakes because we learn when we mess up。 Beatrice has never made a mistake。 She is notorious in her town for that fact。 She wakes up to people outside of her house waiting to see the girl who's never made a mistake。 All of her friends and family are well aware that she never makes mistakes。 Until she does at the talent show! This books attempts to show the value in learning from mistakes, but I think it misses the mark just a bit。

My six-year- old and I enjoyed it。 Simple story but done well。

For the tiny perfectionist in your life。 I loved this, so did my kid。 Highlights:- The cheering paparazzi crowds outside her breakfast table window。 HA。- The juggling performance。 WHO AMONG US has not felt that their achievement addiction was an elaborate and existentially pointless juggling act of random items?! Sigh。V v v good。 A balm to the soul。

Text-to-Self Connection: How does the story connect to your personal experiences or background? This story connected to myself in a lot of ways , as a Virgo for some odd reason I always want everything to be perfect what I had to realize is that Is not life and mistakes happen that doesn’t make me any less than the next person 。 This book will also be amazing for children to get an understanding that NOONE is perfect ! It’s ok to fail and get back Up and try again

It’s a cute quick read, but doesn’t really do much。 Kid doesn’t make mistakes and then one day she does and now laughs? Doesn’t really address anxiety or people’s unrealistic expectation or why she doesn’t make mistakes, or why she does。Lacks depth。 But goes quick!

The book is about a girl who was afraid to make a mistake because she had always been known as someone who didn't make mistakes。 Her anxiety about what might be said about her grew after she almost made a mistake。 It finally came to the point that she made a mistake, a mistake that made her and everyone around her laugh。 This book teaches children and adults that it is perfectly okay to make mistakes。 In fact, we learn so much from mistakes。 As a teacher, I always embrace my students' mistakes。 The book is about a girl who was afraid to make a mistake because she had always been known as someone who didn't make mistakes。 Her anxiety about what might be said about her grew after she almost made a mistake。 It finally came to the point that she made a mistake, a mistake that made her and everyone around her laugh。 This book teaches children and adults that it is perfectly okay to make mistakes。 In fact, we learn so much from mistakes。 As a teacher, I always embrace my students' mistakes。 Even in front of my students, I call my own mistakes loud。 。。。more

Absolutely required reading to start a new year。

A story for perfectionists。

Mika

Intriguing, in a good way – kind of reminded me of younger me, pressure-relieving read, in a way。

Lindsay Wilcox

This was really sweet! The lesson is so important, and I loved the Easter eggs in the illustrations。 It takes skill to characterize the protagonist, her brother, and her hamster in one short book!

Jaclyn

A great story about a little girl learning that it is ok to make mistakes。

I desperately NEEDED this is a kid。 *insert "Surface Pressure" here* My parents had a Ms。 Frizzle approach to learning, but that feeling of perfectionism haunted me for a long time。 It was just the way my brain worked。 I would have LOVED this。 Highly recommend。 I desperately NEEDED this is a kid。 *insert "Surface Pressure" here* My parents had a Ms。 Frizzle approach to learning, but that feeling of perfectionism haunted me for a long time。 It was just the way my brain worked。 I would have LOVED this。 Highly recommend。 。。。more

This book is really good for people who are people who want to read it and it is a great day of that book。。!!

I think this is a great book for children who struggle with perfectionism。 It shows how it is okay to make mistakes and that people won’t treat you differently because of it。 This is a book that I would have in my classroom library。

Very cute story with a charming art style。 It holds an important message, it's only a few pages long, and you can find it for free on YouTube, so I suggest you read it。 Also, Humbert is adorable。 Very cute story with a charming art style。 It holds an important message, it's only a few pages long, and you can find it for free on YouTube, so I suggest you read it。 Also, Humbert is adorable。 。。。more

I would add this book to my teachers library immediately。 It covers perfectionism and growth mindset。 As the character is explaining how she never makes mistakes, and when she did she realized that mistakes aren’t bad to make, and didn’t cry/fuss about it, she moved on。

Great book about making mistakes

A lot of great subtle lessons to learn from this。

This is a book I would incorporate in my classroom to educate children on a growth mindset better。 Not making any mistakes is something many children want to accomplish。 It is difficult to inform students how it is okay to make mistakes, so the author does a good job of describing how it is okay。 The experiences that Beatriz goes through are experiences younger children go through, which allows them to connect to the character and feel her feelings。 Beatriz will also enable the readers to unders This is a book I would incorporate in my classroom to educate children on a growth mindset better。 Not making any mistakes is something many children want to accomplish。 It is difficult to inform students how it is okay to make mistakes, so the author does a good job of describing how it is okay。 The experiences that Beatriz goes through are experiences younger children go through, which allows them to connect to the character and feel her feelings。 Beatriz will also enable the readers to understand how mistakes are made to grow and learn。 。。。more
